Auteure de pièces de théâtre (De l'esclavage des nègres, 1789), de romans (Mémoires de M de Valmont, 1788), et de pamphlets, elle s'enthousiasma pour la Révolution (L'Entrée de Dumouriez à Bruxelles, 1793)
Elle fut guillotinée pour avoir pris la défense du pouvoir Royaliste, en 1793 à Paris.
Elle eût droit à cet éloge funèbre, le lendemain de son exécution, signé par Chaumette, Procureur de la Commune de Paris, dans Le Moniteur :
“ Rappelez-vous l'impudente Olympe de Gouges qui … abandonna les soins du ménage pour se mêler des affaires de la République et dont la tête est tombée sous le fer vengeur des lois … Républicaines ... ".

En conséquence, le sexe infériorisé, malgré sa beauté ou son courage, dans ses souffrances paternelles, reconnaît et déclare, en présence et sous les auspices de l'Être suprême, les Droits suivants de l’Homme et du Citoyen.

According to this story in The Connection, Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid professional signature gatherers $2.10 per signature, in order to collect enough signatures to get on the Virginia presidential primary ballot. Virginia’s presidential primary ballot access law is easily the most stringent such law in the nation. Candidates need 10,000 signatures, with 400 from each U.S. House district. However, the Virginia Democratic Party collected 7,300 for all the approved Democratic candidates, so each of them only needed another 6,000 or so.

Remember the ad is government funded ($500 million to women's groups in Quebec annually from provincial, federal, private and United Way funding-and more than that again in Ontario) Note also the add features a tearful woman and the handcuffed hands are of course man's hands! What else? They get away with this every time because we let them. Oh and the exact amount of funding for men in both provinces and anywhere else in Canada? Zero.Note the the headline on the page screams "sexual assault" which to me means Rape and thus very serious. But reading further it appears this "attack" and "sexual assault" was an alleged incident of a man 'touching a woman's buttocks' Okay...not nice if it is even true but hardly a "Straw Dogs" incident. But then I come from another generation at another time in our 'evolution' as a society. I was brought up as a child of the "Woodstock" experience. An example (by today's standards) of a celebration of mass rape and assault all accompanied by some rather good music.Hey remind me to report that I was "attacked" and "sexually assaulted" by a woman in August last year in a bar on Elgin street. My experience was a lot er... worse..than a mere "touching of the buttocks". Don't ask me to be specific but I was clearly a victim of a wondering and probing hand 'assault'-and not near this side of the buttocks either. So using the same degree and standards used in this story to illustrate my own experience I was therefore "horribly and seriously sexually violated and assaulted by a woman. What should I do? is it too late to report it now?I would earnestly suggest that no man on this list ever touch a woman again in any passionate way. Its too dangerous. And oh yes if a woman ever touches you suggestively-especially below the waist-don't forget to report a sexual assault. I mean there IS equality in the law right? and we are all protected equally of course? Isn't that what the Charter guarantees?JS

Benoît XVI croit en l’existence et au danger du Malin», insiste le père Amorth. Le pape envisagerait aussi de revenir à la pratique préconciliaire en recommandant de conclure chaque messe par la supplique à l’archange saint Michel, afin d’écarter Belzébuth du cœur des fidèles.
